DESCRIPTION:Are you aware of the wide range of protein data resources that
can easily be accessed and explored to enhance your research? Do you want
to know more about the sequence of your protein and its functions? Wondere
d whether a structure of your protein exists and how to explore it? Want t
o know more about the potential complexes and reaction pathways your prote
in of interest is involved in\, giving you a better overview of its biolog
ical context?\n\nThis three day course will introduce you to data resource
s and tools developed by EMBL-EBI that can help you in your protein studie
 s. Each day will focus on a particular protein topic\, with the aim of hel
ping you get more from your data and also to explore publically-available
data that can further support your research. On the last day you will have
the opportunity to either explore the data resources presented in the cou
rse further\, tackling a biologically relevant problem\, or to learn how t
o access some of the EMBL-EBI resources and tools programmatically.\n\nCou
rse topics:\n\n- Day 1: Where can I find protein sequence\, classification
and comparison information?\n- Day 2: How do I choose a “good” protei
n structure and what can I learn from it?\n- Day 3: What interactions\, co
mplexes and pathways is my protein involved in?
