Train the trainer

This course is designed for early-career educators and researchers in who wish to develop the confidence and skills to design, develop and deliver effective training. It targets early stage trainers, postdoctoral researchers, and academic staff involved in teaching.During the training, participants will learn evidence-based principles of how people learn and how to apply these principles to create structured, captivating, and practical sessions. The course emphasizes fostering learner engagement, organizing content for clarity, and providing constructive feedback.Based on the ELIXIR-GOBLET Train-the-Trainer framework, the program also addresses common challenges faced in academic teaching environments and encourages peer-to-peer exchange. Although examples are drawn from bioinformatics, the concepts and strategies introduced are transferable to teaching across higher education disciplines.
