DESCRIPTION:UniProt is a comprehensive\, expert-led\, publicly available da
 tabase of protein sequence\, function and variation information.\n\nThis w
 ebinar will give a brief introduction to the new UniProt website and then 
 highlight resources available that proteomics scientists or users with lar
 ge protein datasets may find useful in analysing their data. This will enc
 ompass our proteomes service\, how to convert and retrieve ID mappings\, a
 nd how to carry out a peptide search.\n\nThe webinar will then go on to in
 troduce the UniProt Proteins API which allows researchers to access and do
 wnload UniProt data alongside large-scale genomic\, proteomics and variati
 on data without needing prior in-depth knowledge of programmatic languages
 . Data is available for download and querying in a range of formats\; incl
 uding XML\, FASTA and PEFF. The API multi-query search functions will be d
 emonstrated and useful features such as searching entries by peptide\, and
  the new functionality of searching for proteomic peptides and modificatio
